Corrosion Engineer
Job Description:
- Under the direction of a Project Manager, design and specification of materials for cathodic protection systems including impressed current and galvanic anode systems for pipelines and other metallic structures.
- Use of industry standard calculations for design
- Cathodic protection system design decisions for design of a vertical groundbed vs. a horizontal groundbed
- Use of industry standard calculations differentiating between groundbeds for galvanic anode systems
- Supports field staff involved in testing and installation.
- Maintains technical knowledge in this field.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s, or foreign educational equivalent, in Materials Engineering plus 2 years of corrosion experience.
This position requires only incidental domestic travel to clients’ field facilities to meet with on-site client staff.

Marketing Representative – Eastern U.S.
Job Description:
- Representing ARK Engineering & ARK Field Services in the marketplace
- Facilitating development of existing clients and establishing new clients to enable the company to meet strategic goals
- Gathering bid information and attending pre-bid meetings
- Relaying appropriate information to the engineering and estimating departments
- Notifying the management group of sales activities
- Developing, documenting, and implementing a marketing plan to support corporate objectives through the strategic planning process
- Assisting other marketing and sales personnel in the development of effective presentations and promotional material
The ideal candidate will possess a marketing degree or equivalent combination of technical training and 2 years of marketing experience preferably in the pipeline or energy/ utility industries.
The candidate should also:
- Be self motivated and results oriented
- Have effective verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to prioritize and multi-task client issues
- Utilize a disciplined, persistent, and responsible approach in dealing with our clients
Travel on a weekly basis is required.

Engineering & Construction Estimator
Job Description:
- Analyzing bid specifications, drawings, material lists and regulatory requirements
- Understanding contractual terms and conditions
- Assembling accurate and well organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner for Time & Materials, Design-Build Construction/Project Management formatted projects
- Providing clear detailed quantity take offs
- Organizing sub-contractor’s quotations, negotiating to insure quotes meet contract documents and issuing proper documented purchase orders
- Tracking and completing Budgeting and Scheduling for projects. Monitoring progress, requisitioning change orders and identifying any potential risks
- Maintaining relationships with sub-contractors and clients
- Insuring site personnel are provided with proper documentation related to project
- Working with and addressing concerns of company field personnel
- Providing and maintaining unit pricing and database for material and labor progress
- Formulating cost breakdown from estimates and project progress
- Meeting with potential clients to discuss options for proposed services
The ideal candidate will have graduated from a recognized engineering, architectural or construction management program.
The candidate should also:
- Have previous experience estimating projects into the $5 million range
- Have experience in the pipeline or energy/ utility industries
- Have experience with estimating software and spreadsheet design
- Have the ability to use CAD programs
- Have exceptional communication skills
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience working in the construction, pipeline or utility field in a similar or related position
- Have the ability to work in an office and in the field in a fast paced environment with variable working hours
- Enjoy various challenges with a multitasked position from sales through the completion of a building project
- Have the desire, ability and ambition to work their way up to an executive management position
